Trim

Metal Trim & Custom Trim

Trim is what makes a metal roof or wall weathertight and finished. It closes the edges, covers the transitions and directs water where it needs to go. WarHammer Metal supplies standard trim and fabricates custom trim for the details that standard pieces do not cover.

Overview

What does metal trim do?

Most metal roof and wall projects use a familiar set of standard trim pieces at the eaves, rakes, ridges, valleys, walls and corners. When a project has a detail that standard trim does not fit, such as an unusual roof transition, a parapet cap, a window or door condition, or an existing profile you need to match, custom-fabricated trim fills the gap.

For custom work, send a drawing with dimensions, a sketch with measurements, or a sample piece. We will review it and follow up with a quote.

Common standard trim pieces

  • Eave and drip edge
  • Rake and gable trim
  • Ridge and hip caps
  • Valleys
  • Sidewall and endwall flashing
  • Inside and outside corners
  • J-channel and window and door trim
  • Base trim and transitions

Questions

Common questions.

Can you match trim on an existing building?

Often, yes. Bring a sample piece or send a detailed drawing with dimensions and angles, and we will tell you whether we can reproduce it.

What information do you need for a custom trim quote?

A drawing or sketch showing every leg length and bend angle, the color or finish, the length of each piece and how many you need. Noting which side is the finished face helps avoid mistakes.
